I'm an activist for "YIMBYism", which seeks to allow more housing to be built in the nation's urban centers; the New York Times recently wrote about the movement: http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/17/business/economy/san-francisco-housing-tech-boom-sf-barf.html?_r=0

Initially, different municipalities across the country had their own independent groups, but earlier this year, the first national YIMBY conference was held ( http://www.citylab.com/housing/2016/05/boulder-will-host-the-first-national-yimby-conference/481548/ ) and as a result, the groups in different cities are starting to work together and share information about what works and what doesn't.

One key component of this is that the same arguments come up over and over when discussing urban housing. For example, "Can the planet handle all this population growth?" There would be tremendous value in creating a "YIMBY wisdom wiki" where we can have a page for each such topic and a distillation of wisdom. For example, a response to the above might be, "Generally, urban families have less of an environmental impact on the planet; they tend to use less water, have a smaller carbon footprint [...] and in fact, they tend to have fewer children, too, so if you're concerned about overpopulation, you should be eager to ensure that anyone who wants to live in a city has a place to do so." And all these posts would have great citations to back everything up.

I'm shopping around for a site to host it at. I'm willing to pay for it, but if you'd be willing to host it for free, I'd stop shopping around and immediately commit to hosting it here.
